The Perfect Drug is Love

It was just a few days before I had to go beyond where his eyes could see, where his hands could reach me and pull me into his embrace. We were just sitting down, no talks, no stares, no touch, complete silence in a chaotic world. There I was, playing with my favorite lifeless machine and there he was, right in front of me, scribbling down on a piece of paper long passages of words unending, building up curiosity inside my restless mind. He suddenly stopped with a loud click by his pen, our eyes met for a split second. 'What's that?' I asked 'Just something random' he answered with a smile. He slipped the small piece of paper inside my book hoping to be forgotten.

Door slammed, exhausted. I couldn't recognize myself anymore. All of the wills and the rules tumbled right down, not logic nor shame could stop me. 3 hours I spent together with him, being lovey-dove, kissing, laughing, arguing and kissing again, something I would have never imagined of doing with this guy that I love so much. I threw my body willingly onto the bed just when I remembered the piece of paper. It slipped out when the book was taken out of the bag, just in time for me to catch it. It says-

The central reward system of the human body is located at the lower middle part of the brain. When this part of the brain is activated the owner will develop a 'good feeling' that lowers depression and stress. This system can be activated through many very different methods, some creating more intense feelings than others, these methods vary from taking a sip of your favourite coffee, listening to music, to taking drugs such as cannabis and alcohol. But a method as strong as intense pleasure from drugs but also natural and healthy, is LOVE! ♥ - XH

Much to my dismay, a smile creeped up on my face, a huge one that is, and I closed my eyes, calling off for the day to end to let me dream a little bit more of me and him.

Notes:

Much much love,

Vearlentine xx
